LUPINE ADVENTURE CO-OPERATIVE DofE Professionals Newsletter February 18
I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and New Year. We've a new member of the team here at Lupine. One of our freelancers, Jo Chitty, will be joining us by the end of January to help with both the admin and delivery of all our programmes.
We've 3 things to update you on this time as shown below.
Late last year we bought a Personal Locator Beacon and a Spot tracker which we will be testing this year with a view to getting more. We therefore identified a need to include these devices in our Emergency Procedures Exercise cards. We have therefore replaced the blank card 25 with a card indicating an action to take relating to these devices.
We have been running DofE expeditions in Europe for a couple of years now on a small scale and have taken the decision to offer them more widely. While we can make investigations in a wide variety of places we feel particularly equipped to supervise expeditions in the French Alps and The Picos de Europa in northern Spain. For more information on our International DofE expeditions please visit our new web page on the topic.
If you have any participants who have a gold assessed expedition still to do from last year or who can't make their school practice then we have an open expedition running this April in Yorkshire. The cost is £220 if booked before 18th February and the dates are 8-12 April 2017. Visit our Open Expeditions page for more information.
If you have used our services or our resources it would be nice if you could write a review in google. To do so click here and look for the 'write a review' button in the google box. This is on the right hand side on a desktop.
