Sponsored Events and Mountain Challenges

charities – corporate teams – groups – individuals

Whether your aim is to raise money for charity, a team-building exercise with a difference, or purely the satisfaction of completing one of these challenges, we can provide the event for you.

As a not-for-profit social enterprise with an involvement in social and environmental issues, we are the natural choice for fundraisers. If you represent a charity or large group wishing to organise an event then please take a look at our Information for Charities and Large Groups page.

In addition to mountain challenges we also run climbing, abseiling and mixed activity events. No challenge is too big or too small for us so if you don’t see what you want here then get in touch – we are happy to work with you to come up with the right event for you.

Caves, waterfalls, tarns and mines

Region: Yorkshire Dales

The Challenge: To complete a circular walk cutting through some of our favourite parts of the dales in 12 hours.

Distance: 38km (23miles)

Height climbed: 1.25km (4100ft)

We designed this challenge here at Lupine Adventure as an alternative to the Yorkshire 3 Peaks. While we do love the Yorkshire 3 Peaks it isn't all there is of the Yorkshire Dales. This challenge event has, we feel, quite a bit more interest to it. It includes viewings of caves used by our neolithic ancestors, a climb up alongside the waterfall at Gordale Scar, the beautiful Malham Tarn and the crossing of fountains fell and passing 'The Churn Milk Hole', a huge sink hole in the limestone, before heading south to pick up the river for the walk back to Settle.

The cost of the event will depend on how many people you can get to join in. The prices below cover Mountain Leader cover and a support vehicle.

Number in Team Cost per team member
7-12 £69
13-15 £59
16-21 £53
22-40 £48
41-80 £43
81+ £39

You can chose for us to cater this event (providing packed lunches in addition to snacks at checkpoints) at a price of £12 per head. We aim to provide for dietary requirements on request, including vegetarian, vegan, halal etc.

Climbing Ben Nevis

Ben Nevis, standing at 1344 meters above sea level, is the highest point in the British Isles. It is estimated that 100 000 people reach the summit each year, the vast majority by the track from Glen Nevis. The North side of the mountain has the longest Rock climbs in the UK. Contact us if you would like us to guide your group up this magnificent mountain.

The summit can be snow-covered at nearly any point of the year. Any ascent when there is still snow cover may well require winter equipment and skills.

Climbing Snowdon

Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales and the highest mountain in the British Isles outside of Scotland. As such it is probably our most popular day out. Each year we take many school groups, scout groups and guide groups up this mountain. There are a number of ways to get to the top of Snowdon to choose from depending on the objectives of the group in question, the most popular are listed below.
