Climbing Scafell Pike is a popular day out both for is superb views and the lure of becoming the highest person on English soil!
Our usual route starts and finishes at Wasdale Head which is home to a car park as well as a pub. After meeting our guides for a safety briefing here it usually takes approximately 6 hours for a reasonably fit group to climb the mountain and arrive back at Wasdale Head.
The price will vary depending upon the size of the group and the number of guides employed. One guide will cost £236 and can lead a group of up to 11 people. Some groups may choose to employ a second leader which will increase their chances of being able to continue to the summit in the event of a group member having to drop out on the ascent.
